Jamie ‘Big Dog’ Kenyon was born in Southampton making him
the only Southern Softie of the group. Seeing sense at a very early age and
moving to Hazel Grove, he attended Warren Wood Primary School which is where,
at the age of 6, he met Jake.
At 13 Jamie joined
the ATC and at 16 he also went to Aquinas College where once again Jamie and
Jake were reunited in PE lessons, much to their teacher, Helens, despair. But
Helen wasn’t Jamie’s favourite PE teacher. Jamie had an extra special place in
his heart for Pat ‘Powerhouse’ Greening, a 50 year old hockey super sensation,
who could bench press more than the rugby team weighed and would snap even the
fiercest cage fighter like a twig.
Jamie’s hobbies include running, walking and doing whatever
Charlie tells him to.
After leaving college Jamie worked at Sainsbury’s in the
general merchandise section and his claim to fame was that he managed to stop
someone who was trying to rob a telly. It was while working at Sainsbury’s that
Jamie got into his car one dark wet night and decided to drive straight into a
lamppost, hitting it with such force he bent it. After the constant jibes about
being a Southern Softie Jamie decided he was going to prove everyone wrong and
joined the Royal Marines. He did well proving us wrong but unfortunately picked
up a knee injury and was discharged. After the Marines, Jamie worked at Quick’s,
a car dealership in Stockport. This is a great job as it lets him drive really
cool cars like a 6 year old Cleo with a massive 1.2 litre engine. Jamie has
also washed trains and worked as a body guard to the Chinese mafia (allegedly).
Jamie is now currently back at Quick’s part time while also studying at college
learning to cut down trees.
Jamie prides himself on being able to do the most pull ups
out of anyone he has met outside the group and the fact that he can run faster
than his dogs. So Jamie the Snowdon summit record is 39 minutes, see you up
there in 20?
